Crispy, Juicy & Buttery Scallops Recipe

🦪 Pan-Seared Garlic Butter Scallops

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large sea scallops (patted dry)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare scallops: Pat scallops dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Sear: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add scallops (don’t overcrowd the pan). Sear for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown with a nice crust. Remove and set aside.

  3. Make garlic butter sauce: In the same skillet, add 2 tbsp butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice and remaining butter.

  4. Combine: Return scallops to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and cook for another 1 minute to coat well.

  5. Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot with lemon wedges. 🍋
