Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1 box strawberry cake mix
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs (recommended for better structure and richness)
Optional Add-ins:
1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries or strawberry preserves for extra flavor
For the Strawberry Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tablespoons strawberry puree or strawberry jam
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
A few drops of lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan or two 8-inch round pans.
2. Prepare the cake batter:
In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, milk, vegetable oil, and eggs.
Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes, until smooth.
Fold in fresh strawberries or preserves if using.
3. Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared pan(s).
Bake for 28–32 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely before glazing.
Make the Glaze:
Mix the powdered sugar and strawberry puree or jam until smooth and pourable.
Add vanilla or lemon juice if using.
Drizzle over cooled cake and let set before serving.
