Ingredients:
12 oz penne pasta (or your choice of pasta)
1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add beef slices, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove beef and set aside.
In the same skillet, add garlic and onion. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
Add asparagus and cook for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, then stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning until sauce thickens.
Return beef to the skillet and toss with the sauce. Add cooked pasta and combine well.
Garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes before serving.
