Ingredients
Lobster Tails:
4 lobster tails (5–6 oz each)
1 Tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped (plus more for garnish)
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1 tsp Dijon mustard
¼ tsp sea salt
⅛ tsp fresh black pepper
1½ Tbsp olive oil
1½ Tbsp fresh lemon juice
4 Tbsp unsalted butter, divided
Instructions
1. Prepare the Lobster Tails:
Use kitchen scissors to cut down the top shell to the base, cutting slightly into the meat.
Flip over, crack the ribs underneath to loosen the shell.
Gently lift the meat up and rest it on top of the shell, keeping it attached at the base. Remove the vein if present.
2. Make the Marinade:
In a small bowl, mix:
Parsley, garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice.
3. Arrange & Broil:
Place butterflied tails in a 9x13" roasting pan.
Spoon the marinade evenly over each tail.
Dot each with ½ Tbsp butter (in small pieces).
Broil on high for 10–11 minutes, or until meat is opaque and internal temp reaches 145°F.
4. Garlic Lemon Butter Sauce:
Pour drippings into a saucepan, add remaining 2 Tbsp butter, simmer, then remove from heat.
Pour over lobster tails or serve as a dipping sauce in ramekins.
Broiling Time Guide:
3–4 oz tails: 6–8 min
5–6 oz tails: 10–11 min
7–9 oz tails: 12–15 min (with rack in center)
