Ingredients:
For the crust:
- 2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 24 oz (680g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup cherry pie filling
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
For the topping:
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate shavings
- Maraschino cherries

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
2. For the crust: Mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then cool.
3. For the cheesecake: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Mix in eggs one at a time. Fold in cherry pie filling and chocolate chips.
4. Pour the batter over the crust and spread evenly.
5. Bake for 60-70 minutes until set. Let cool in the oven with the door cracked.
6. Chill the cheesecake for at least 4 hours.
7. Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and cherries before serving.
