Cheesy Garlic Pizza Bread Recipe


 


Ingredients:
For the dough (or use store-bought pizza dough):
2 cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup warm water
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp dry active yeast
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
For the garlic butter:
¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
3–4 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
Salt to taste
1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, optional)
Toppings:
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Extra herbs for garnish (oregano, parsley, basil)
Instructions:
1. Make the Dough (Skip if using store-bought):
In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Knead until smooth (8–10 minutes).
Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.
2. Prepare Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, herbs, chili flakes, and salt.
3. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 220°C (430°F). If using a pizza stone, preheat it too.
4. Assemble Pizza Bread:
Roll out the dough into a 10–12 inch circle or oval.
Place on a parchment-lined tray or pizza stone.
Brush the garlic butter generously all over the surface.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly on top.
5. Bake:
Bake for 12–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden.
6. Garnish and Serve:
Brush with more garlic butter if desired.
Sprinkle fresh parsley or basil.
Slice into strips or wedges. Serve hot with marinara or ranch dip!
