Ingredients:
Crust:
1 box Pillsbury Ready-to-Bake Pie Crust (2 rolled crusts)
3 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
Filling:
½ lb ground beef
½ lb Italian sausage (optional)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar or provolone cheese
1½ cups pizza sauce or marinara
1 cup pepperoni slices, divided
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp garlic powder (+ extra for butter topping)
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions:
. Prepare the Filling:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and Italian sausage until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. Assemble the Pie:
Roll out one pie crust to fit a deep-dish pie pan or 9-inch skillet, pressing it into the bottom and up the sides.
Layer in this order:
½ the mozzarella cheese
Cooked meat mixture
½ the pepperoni slices
Pizza sauce (spread evenly)
Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes
Remaining mozzarella + cheddar/provolone
Rest of the pepperoni
Top with the second pie crust, crimping edges to seal. Cut a few small slits in the top for venting.
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle lightly with garlic powder.
3. Bake & Serve:
Bake for 20–25 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Let cool 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
