Deep Hamburger Sausage and Pepperoni Pie .


 


Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb Italian sausage, casing removed

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 green bell pepper, diced

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 cup pizza sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 refrigerated pie crusts

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking up the meat with a spoon. Drain excess fat.

Add onion, garlic, and bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until softened.

Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Roll out one pie crust into a greased deep pie dish. Spoon half of the meat mixture inside.

Layer with half the pepperoni slices, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Repeat with remaining meat mixture, pepperoni, and cheeses.

Cover with the second pie crust, sealing edges well. Cut small slits on top for steam to escape. Brush with beaten egg.

Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
