Ingredients:
2 lbs crab legs (snow crab or king crab, thawed if frozen)
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
5–6 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp lemon juice (plus more for serving)
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (optional but recommended)
1–2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Salt and pepper, to taste
Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
1. Prepare Crab Legs (if needed):
If your crab legs are frozen, thaw them under cool running water or overnight in the fridge. Crack them slightly to allow the butter to seep in (optional but flavorful).
2. Steam or Bake Crab Legs:
Steam: In a large pot with a steamer basket, bring a few inches of water to a boil. Steam crab legs for 5–7 minutes until heated through.
Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange crab legs on a baking sheet and cover with foil. Bake for 15 minutes.
3. Make Garlic Butter Sauce:
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (do not brown).
Stir in lemon juice, Old Bay, salt, and pepper. Add parsley last.
4. Combine & Serve:
Place warm crab legs on a platter or shallow dish.
Pour garlic butter over the crab legs or serve on the side for dipping.
Garnish with extra parsley and lemon wedges.
