Ingredients:
1 refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade if you prefer)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup sliced pepperoni or salami (or both)
1/2 cup sliced ham (optional)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 egg (for egg wash)
Flour (for dusting surface)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle (about 10×14 inches).
3. Layer the fillings:
Spread a thin layer of marinara or pizza sauce (leave a 1-inch border).
Add mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
Layer with pepperoni, ham, or any other desired meats.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
Season with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
4. Roll it up:
Starting from the long edge, roll the dough into a log, tucking the ends as you go.
Pinch the seam to seal and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
5. Egg wash:
Beat the egg and brush it over the Stromboli for a golden crust.
6. Vent:
Cut a few slits on top to allow steam to escape.
7. Bake:
Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
8. Cool slightly, then slice and serve with warm marinara for dipping.
