๐ฑ How to Grow an Avocado Plant from the Pit
What you need:
1 avocado pit
Toothpicks
A glass or jar
Water
Steps:
Clean the pit gently, removing all avocado flesh but keeping the brown skin intact.
Insert 3–4 toothpicks into the pit around its middle, evenly spaced. These will let you balance the pit on the rim of the glass.
Place the pit with the broad end down in a glass of water, so the bottom is submerged about 1–2 cm.
Put the glass in a warm spot with indirect sunlight.
Change the water every few days to keep it fresh.
After 2–6 weeks, you’ll see roots growing downward and a stem sprouting upward.
When the stem is about 15 cm tall, cut it back to about 7 cm to encourage bushier growth.
Once roots are thick and the stem has leaves, plant it in soil in a pot with good drainage.
๐ Bonus Uses for Avocado Pits

Avocado pit powder: Dry and grind the pit, then add small amounts to smoothies for antioxidants (make sure to research safe consumption quantities first).
Exfoliating scrub: Grate dried pits for use in homemade scrubs (coarse but natural!).
Decoration: Polished avocado pits can be made into jewelry or beads.
Natural deodorizer: Boil pits to freshen the air naturally.
