Would You Eat This Baked Spaghetti with Meat Sauce


 


Ingredients:
1 lb spaghetti
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Cook spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
3. Cook meat: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
4. Sauté vegetables: Add onion, bell peppers, and garlic to the beef. Cook 5–7 minutes until softened.
5. Make sauce: Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15–20 minutes.
6. Combine: Toss cooked spaghetti with meat sauce until well mixed.
7. Bake: Transfer to a greased baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan if using. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until hot and bubbly.
8. Serve warm from the tray.
