Honey Garlic Ribs

Ingredients:

For the Ribs:

2–3 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)

Salt and black pepper (to taste)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika (optional, for extra flavor)

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

1/4 cup brown sugar

5 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

Instructions:

1. Prep the Ribs

Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs (for tenderness).

Pat dry, then season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

2. Cook the Ribs (Choose your method):

Oven Method (Slow-Roasted & Tender):

Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).

Wrap seasoned ribs tightly in foil (meat side up) and place on a baking sheet.

Bake for 2.5–3 hours until fork-tender.

Remove from oven, unwrap, and discard excess fat/juice.

Instant Pot or Pressure Cooker:

Add 1 cup of water and a trivet or rack.

Pressure cook ribs for 25 minutes, then natural release for 10 minutes.

3. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and vinegar.

Bring to a simmer.

Stir in cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water).

Cook until thickened (1–2 minutes), then remove from heat.

4. Glaze & Finish

Brush cooked ribs generously with the sauce.

Optional: Broil in the oven for 5–7 minutes or grill over medium-high heat to caramelize the glaze. Watch closely to avoid burning.

5. Serve

Slice between bones and serve with extra sauce on the side. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
