6 plain donuts (preferably yeast-raised, unfilled – store-bought or homemade)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup strawberries, finely chopped
1 tbsp strawberry jam (optional, for added sweetness and flavor)
Graham cracker crumbs (for garnish, optional)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions:
1. Make the Cheesecake Filling:
In a medium bowl, beat together:
8 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Mix until smooth and creamy.
2. Add the Strawberries:
Gently fold in 1/2 cup finely chopped strawberries.
Optional: Stir in 1 tbsp strawberry jam for more intense flavor and color.
Refrigerate the filling for 15–20 minutes so it firms up slightly (easier to pipe).
3. Prep the Donuts:
If using unfilled donuts, poke a hole in the side of each with a knife or skewer.
Wiggle it gently to create a pocket inside the donut.
4. Fill the Donuts:
Transfer the cheesecake filling into a piping bag (or ziplock with the corner snipped off).
Pipe the filling into each donut until you feel slight resistance (don’t overfill or it’ll burst).
5. Finish and Garnish:
Optional: Roll the top of each donut in graham cracker crumbs.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
