Ghost Pepper Steak with Haunted Bourbon Cream Sauce


 


Ingredients:

– 1 ghost pepper

– 2 ribeye steaks

– Salt and pepper

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 1/4 cup bourbon

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 1 tablespoon butter

 

Instructions:

Start by finely chopping the ghost pepper, being sure to wear gloves to protect your skin from the heat. Rub the steaks with salt, pepper, and the chopped ghost pepper on both sides. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat and sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest. In the same skillet, deglaze with bourbon, scraping up any browned bits. Add in the heavy cream and butter, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly.
