Ingredients:
4 slices sourdough or Italian bread
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce
12 slices pepperoni
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Fresh basil leaves (optional)
Directions:
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
On the unbuttered side of two slices, spread a tablespoon of pizza sauce.
Layer mozzarella, Parmesan, 6 slices of pepperoni, and a sprinkle of oregano and garlic powder.
Top with remaining slices, buttered side facing out.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwiches in the pan.
Cook for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Optional: Serve with warm marinara for dipping and garnish with fresh basil.
